Jonathan Thomas, the Neath-Swansea Ospreys flanker sent off for punching in the Heineken Cup Pool 4 match at Castres Olympique today, has been banned for 18 days. Thomas was sent-off by English referee Dave Pearson in the final minute. The Wales international appeared before a disciplinary hearing held by Match Commissioner Jean-Claude Legendre. The suspension rules him out of the Round 2 match against Munster at The Gnoll on Sunday, 31 October.
The directors of ERC voted unanimously at a Board meeting to postpone all decisions including the release of further instalments of ERC's distributable central revenues to the six shareholder countries until 19 February next when the Board will meet again to reconsider the issue.
