Richards has kept faith with the side which beat Ulster 49-7 at Welford Road last Saturday, although there will be late fitness tests for Neil Baxter (hamstring), Austin Healey (leg) and Ben Kay (knee) as they aim to overcome injuries.
Jaco van der Westhuyzen continues at fly half after making the transition from fullback last time out, with Richards saying: "Jaco's favoured position in the past has been fly half.
"He only changed to fullback in the last couple of years, and even made his debut for South Africa at fly half. He's shown us what he can do there now, and he gives us another option."
Will Johnson continues at blindside flanker, with Richards praising his form in recent matches, saying: "Will is a guy who's been playing better than ever in the last two or three weeks."
Despite Saturday's opponents having suffered a 37-0 defeat last Sunday at Stade Francais, Richards believes that the Dragons still pose a serious threat.
"They have a great coach in Mike Ruddock and a very physical pack. They will try to take us on up front," he said.
"In the backs, whether they play Lee Jarvis, Percy Montgomery or anyone else at fly half, they have the ability to score tries."
Despite Tigers' impressive performance in the bonus point win over Ulster last Saturday, Richards insists that there is no danger of complacency creeping in.
"We played well last week, but we have to do it week in, week out. In that respect this is an extremely important game for us.
"If we can score points and avoid injuries, we can go all the way."
