Following an initial investigation by ERC into the alleged use of abusive and racist language against a London Irish player by Ulster player Matt McCullough, Mr McCullough will be requested to appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee to answer two misconduct complaints.
The complaints concern the alleged use of racist and abusive language to the London Irish player Delon Armitage during and after the Heineken Cup Pool 5 matches between the teams at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday, 9 December, 2006, and at Ravenhill on Friday, 15 December, 2006.
The independent Disciplinary Committee will be appointed as soon as is practicable.
The directors of ERC voted unanimously at a Board meeting to postpone all decisions including the release of further instalments of ERC's distributable central revenues to the six shareholder countries until 19 February next when the Board will meet again to reconsider the issue.
