We couldn't think of anything worse! I think it's the first time a Heineken Cup winner is in the Amlin Challenge Cup final a year later. And we have to fight them in their own stadium. I guess the odds will not be much in our favour.
But to reach the final, you won two away games …
True but those were against against Perpignan and Bath, teams who are 7th or 8th in their domestic leagues. Good teams, that's for sure, but far away from what we have to expect in Dublin. We're going to play against a team which doesn't belong here.
But you still hope for a miracle in Dublin ?
We will go there to play the game of our lives. Over the last month the players have surprised me nicely, we have got nothing to lose and deserve to be there. A final always counts in the career of a player or a member of the staff. Maybe we'll play the best game we have ever played, maybe they will not be that good that night… It's up to us to make them struggle but our chances of winning there remain very slim.
What strategy will you adopt ?
Being more agressive, efficient in Leinster's strong areas and good in defence. Every scrum, every ruck will be a battle. Players will have to play their best game of the season, and it may still not be enough. Leinster have prepared themselves for a final in Dublin for over a year - it is just not the one they excepted.
Can this game save Stade Français' season ?
I don't know what that means. We just want to finish strongly. Our team has gelled well over the year and this game brings an extra concentration. I just hope players will surprise me once again.
