The manner of defeat prompted Director of Rugby Bernard Laporte to warn his stars some might miss out on selection for the high profile semi-final at the home of English rugby.
Toulon reached the Heineken Cup quarter-finals two seasons ago and last season they narrowly missed out on claiming coveted European silverware when Biarritz Olympique beat them 21-18 in the Amlin Challenge Cup final.
"Last year we were close so we know just how very tough it is to get up that final step," said Lobbe.
"It is going to be very difficult against Saracens at Twickenham but we work hard every day to try and play in these sorts of games and these sorts of venues.
"There will be two teams desperate to reach the final and hopefully we can manage that win.
"Saracens are a really good team who have been in one of the top positions in England and Europe for the last few years.
"They take great pride in their defence, they have a good set piece, a good kicker and good all-round footballers - it is going to be very tough."
