"It is over, it's done. We still have an opportunity next week to put things right - and maybe another one after that. The most important thing now for me is to show what we can do next week," said Wilkinson, who scored all 18 points for Toulon.
"In rugby the most important thing is always the next game. We need to look forward, and not back on a poor performance - we need to finish the season on a high.
"It is very sad because every time I scored they scored three more points. We never broke through their defence and because of that the game was decided on discipline and penalties - and we gave away more penalties than they did.
"Biarritz deserved their win because of that. It is a very difficult night and their kicking game was outstanding in the first half, very clinical.
"Dimitri Yachvili deserves to be praised for his consistency. He is a very important player for Biarritz because he really leads their team - when Yachvili is playing well, it means Biarritz is playing well.
"It was a game of life or death for us and everyone gave everything, so it was enormously disappointing to lose. But we have to move on to the next game and put all our energies into that."
