An ERC investigation into incidents in the Harlequins' Technical Zone during the Heineken Cup Round 4 match against Toulouse at Le Stadium on Sunday, 18 December 2011, has been concluded.
Harlequins co-operated fully with the investigation, and following internal disciplinary action taken by the club, ERC's Disciplinary Officer, Roger O'Connor, has decided that no further action is required. However, the club has been warned as to the future conduct of its staff and players in and around Technical Zones.
Harlequins' Will Skinner was shown a red card in the 79th minute of the match against Toulouse when he played the ball in the Technical Zone in order to prevent Toulouse from taking a quick throw-in, and was later suspended for two weeks for an act contrary to good sportsmanship.
The directors of ERC voted unanimously at a Board meeting to postpone all decisions including the release of further instalments of ERC's distributable central revenues to the six shareholder countries until 19 February next when the Board will meet again to reconsider the issue.
