High-flying Top 14 outfit Montpellier helped themselves to a 20-13 away win in Pool 3 at Sandy Lane to make it a painful start for the English Premiership new boys. And next on the agenda is a tough trip to Bourgoin to face even more battle-hardened French opposition this weekend.
"It was disappointing really. It was a game we really should have won with the team we had out, but ultimately we didn't do enough things right," said Hepher.
"We didn't make enough good decisions across the board and we didn't manage the game well enough to win it. There are some guys who need to have a look at themselves and their decision-making.
"Anyone who knows rugby knows going to France are the toughest games you experience as a player and as a coach as well. We know we are going to have to buck up because if we perform like that on Friday, we'll get blitzed."
