Only once have Viadana gone on a worse run in the competition, when they lost seven in a row in between 2005-2006.
Bayonne are still in with a chance of qualification to the knockout stages but they will need a win to keep up the pressure on pool leaders London Wasps.
The French side have won 11 of their last 15 games in the competition, with their other three defeats and a draw all coming at the hands of Wasps.
Bayonne have won all three of their previous meetings against Viadana but didn't have it all their own way when the two sides clashed in 2009, scraping a narrow 24-22 victory.
They currently sit second behind Wasps on 10 points, with the English Premiership club out in front on 14 ahead of their home game against Grenoble on Sunday.
