Mete tecniche

Primo tempo
1SaracensSarries regain Jackson's perfectly weighted kick-off and attack at Munster immediately. Jackson receives the ball again and kicks cross field for Ratuvou. Howlett gathers and is taken into touch.
2SaracensSarries win the lineout but as they attack up the middle, Kris Chesney is picked up by the linesman for illegal use of the elbow. Nigel Owens has a word and Munster clear their lines.
3SaracensMunster claim their first ball from the lineout and O'Leary kicks into the box. Jackson tries to clear but is snagged and loses the ball. Hurley kicks through but Haughton counters brilliantly.
5Saracens
Mete - K Ratuvou
Jackson continues the moves down the blind side and his grubber is gathered by Ratuvou. He feeds Powell who looks as if he'll score but as Howlett hauls him down, Ratuvou is on hand to pick up and score.
5Saracens
Conversion - G Jackson
7MunsterMunster respond well and after reclaiming the restart are soon hammering at the Sarries line. The ball goes left and Dowling is put over in the corner only to be called back for a forward pass.
8Munster
Penalty kick - R O'Gara
Munster have the consolation of a penalty in midfield for Hugh Vyvyan coming off his feet and O'Gara narrow the gap to three.
9MunsterAnother messy restart, and Munster win the penalty for the jumper being taken out in the air. O'Gara punts up the line for territory.
11MunsterMunster secure their ball and go through multiple phases with no reward and are eventually penalised at the ruck for holding on. Good early signs for the Saracens defensive line.
13SaracensSarries endure a similar fate with their ball as they attack fruitlessly and are eventually turned over and O'Gara hoofs down field. Some kicking tennis ensues and Haughton marks and clears.
15SaracensRatuvou the Fijian is flying again. After receiving the ball on the left he leaves tow defenders standing and chips past the third. Only the scrambling defence of Howlett denies the winger his second score.
16SaracensFrom the lineout Sorrell comes back on a short ball but loses the ball. At the scrum though, Visagie destroys Horan to win the put in and Sarries again go wide from first phase.
17SaracensRatuvou again runs hard and when De Kock spills the ball and Mr Owens brings play back for a Munster scrum . De Kock needs treatment after the huge hit from Howlett.
20MunsterMunster win a penalty at the scrum and the front five are delighted after crumpling only minutes earlier. O'Gara gives the Irishmen good field position.
21MunsterMunster attack and Horan drives powerfully in midfield. The quick ball is spread left and first Mafi, then Dowling surge for the line. The chance goes begging though as the ball is knocked on only metres short.
23MunsterThe Munster were obviously hurt by the poor scrimmage earlier and the men in red walk right over the Sarries eight to rapturous applause from their army of fans. They now have the put in.
24SaracensUnbelievably, Sarries take it against the head in this topsy turvy set piece battle and Jackson clears well.
25Munster
Mete - R O'Gara
Try time. O'Connell wins the lineout and O'Gara takes a flat ball at pace to ghost past Nick Lloyd and slide in to the right of the posts.
26MunsterNigel Owens is ready to overrule his touch judges who say that the conversion was missed, but TMO Derek Bevan confirms that O'Gara's effort was wide.
26MunsterMissed conversion: O'Gara
28SaracensMunster take the ball up to halfway from the restart and O'Leary kicks to the corner. Some back and forth kicking follows, before Jackson eventually puts the ball out of play back on halfway.
30SaracensLeonelli hammers Mafi in midfield form the lineout and wins a penalty to boot to the visible joy of his teammates. A real up lifting moment for Sarries.
32Saracens
Substitution - T Ryder on for B Skirving
35SaracensJackson drills a pin point kick into the corner. The ball comes off the top and Leonelli and Vyvyan carry well up the middle. The ball is worked left and Sarries are awarded a scrum.
37SaracensDe Kock takes the ball from Ryder and is unceremoniously hammered by opposite number O'Leary. Tough day at the office so far for the skipper.
38SaracensSarries retain the ball, but Sorrell is pinged by Owens for holding on after a powerful surge.
40Munster
Mete - A Quinlan
Tipoki makes a break on halfway and offloads to Howlett. He is well caught by Leonelli and from the ruck, Quinlan picks up and goes straight through the middle and streaks over unopposed to score.
40Munster
Conversion - R O'Gara
O'Gara adds the extras and what a time to put seven points on the board. Huge psychological blow on the stroke of half time.
Secondo tempo
41MunsterThe rain has arrived in Coventry and that could play into the hands of the wily Munstermen who are masters at the art of wet weather tussles.
41SaracensSarries face an uphill struggle if they are to take this one, but with the rewards at stake they certainly won't be giving up the ghost. First second half score will be vital.
41MunsterKick-off from O'Gara goes out on the full. Scrum back on half way.
42SaracensJackson kicks deep and O'Leary clears. From the lineout, Ratuvou takes it up the middle, as then do Gustard and Sorrell and Owens penalises O'Callaghan in the shadow of the posts for hands in the ruck.
43Saracens
Penalty kick - G Jackson
The kiwi makes no mistake and the lead is vitally reduced to five points.
44MunsterMunster look to strike back immediately after regaining the restart, but the conditions begin to take their toll as the ball slips from O'Leary's grasp at the base.
46MunsterMore hands in the ruck from Munster allow Jackson to kick up the line to safety. Gustard carries from the ensuing play and once again the slippery ball is spilled.
47Saracens
Substitution - C Johnston on for C Visagie
50SaracensBoth sides enjoy periods of possession and predictably the game is tightening up as play becomes dominated by pick and gos. This is turning into a war of attrition.
52MunsterO'Gara slides a low skiddy kick into the corner to give Munster good territory. Sarries win a penalty from the lineout though as Leamy is caught offiside. Jackson returns play to the Munster half.
54SaracensCairns throw is not straight as more and more errors creep into the match and in that vein, O'Leary kicks the ball straight out on the full to give Cairns a second bite at the cherry.
55SaracensHe gets it right and Sarries continue to keep it tight and take the pace right out of the tie. They do eventually go wide though and Ratuvou breaks the line
57SaracensThe ball comes left where the forwards take over again, hammering towards the whitewash. When the ball is freed to Ratuvou once more, Tipoki kills the ball conceding a penalty under the sticks.
57Munster
Yellow card - R Tipoki
The kiwi gets ten minutes for his troubles as Sarries manfully scrap their way back into the semi final.
57Saracens
Penalty kick - G Jackson
Jackson slots the easy kick to narrow the gap further.
59Saracens
Yellow card - N Lloyd
Tempers are getting frayed in this pressure cauldron and Nick Lloyd is picked out by the touch judge and gets 10 minutes of his own for punching at the scrum to level the numbers.
60MunsterMissed penalty: O'Gara
62Saracens
Yellow card - C Johnston
Jackson clears a missed O'Gara penalty, but his kick is infield and first Wallace then O'Connell carry back Census Johnson kills the ball and Mr Owens sends him the same way as Lloyd.
62Munster
Penalty kick - R O'Gara
O'Gara makes Sarries pay for their indiscipline.
63Saracens
Temporary sub - C Visagie on for P Gustard
64SaracensConfusion amongst referee and player as the sides attempt to pack down for a scrum with Sarries having both their props in the bin. Visagie comes back on despite at first claiming he was injured.
64Saracens
Temporary sub - P Gustard on for C Visagie
65MunsterMunster eventually come up with the ball and O'Gara weights a beautiful grubber to the posts only to be pulled back by Owens for a marginal penalty for a man being in front of the ball.
67MunsterAfter a period of loose kicking, O'Leary slips a flat pass to Howlett inside his 22. Howlett races away but when he hits contact the wet ball slips from his hands in Sarries get some respite.
69SaracensSarries get some good field position through strong carrying from Ratuvou but the move is ended by a forward pass. The match now error and the winner could be the side who make the least from now on in
71Saracens
Penalty kick - G Jackson
An indiscretion at an ensuing breakdown gives Jackson a kickable penalty and the reliable Kiwi strikes it cleanly. This game is going to the wire.
73SaracensJackson's influence is growing at just the right time. The fly half delivers a perfectly executed corner kick to pile the pressure on Munster and after an infield clearance Sarries attack.
74Munster
Substitution - D Ryan on for D O'Callaghan
75SaracensThey are scuppered by the slippery ball yet again though just as Jackson had slipped into the pocket for a dropped goal attempt. Munster have a long five minutes ahead of them.
76SaracensSarries win a lineout and Sarries attack left. Ratuvou chip ahead but Mafi gathers and it is Munster's turn to break away. Hurley takes it up the left and Hill is penalised for coming off his feet at the ruck.
77Saracens
Substitution - M Rauluni on for N de Kock
79MunsterLeamy is penalised from the lineout and Jackson puts Sarries in range with a good touch finder. Johnson breaks though and Raulini almost breaks clear but Munster snaffle the ball and win the penalty.
80MunsterWith 80 minutes on the clock, the Irishmen put the ball out of play and Nigel Owens blows the whistle which sends Munster to Cardiff, the scene of their greatest day, for an epic final with Toulouse.
