The battle between the French and English capital city clubs, Stade Francais Paris and Harlequins, will be a repeat of the 2011 final in Cardiff which the Quins won 19-18. Stade Francais were beaten finalists again in Dublin last season, while Quins have taken the title three times already.
"When you look up the fixtures on April 5 and see the Amlin quarter-finals come around you want to be there, and we are," said Quins director of rugby Conor O'Shes
"It was great to finish off a job that started by losing two games at home with a win that puts us into the quarter-finals of the Amlin Challenge Cup. It is a real credit to guys to get out of a really tough pool," said Quins director of rugby Connor O'Shea.
"There were loads of Pools of death in the Heineken Cup, but we were behind the eight ball after losing to the Scarlets in the first round. I'm just delighted that we are now through to play Stade Francais Paris - it is something for our supporters to really look forward to as well as the players."
London Wasps have reached their third successive quarter-final and will be hoping not to have drawn the eventual winners again, having lost to Leinster and Biarritz Olympique in the last two years.
"Getting to the Quarter Finals with a home draw was always our target. The last two seasons we have got through to this stage and lost to the eventual winners," aid Wasps director of rugby, Dai Young.
"We know that whoever you play here are going to be a good side - you don't get through to the last eight without being a decent team. It was a great night last year against Leinster, who went on to win it, but hopefully we can go a couple of stages further this season."
The game between Sale Sharks and Northampton Saints will take Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder back to the club where he cut his teeth as a coach in Europe and helped the Sharks win the Challenge Cup in 2002.
"To get home advantage in the knock-out stages is a big plus. Jim Mallinder and I go back a long way and we coached Sale to victory in this competition back in 2002. All the players are looking forward to it," said Sharks director of rugby, Steve Diamond.
