| 5 | Saracens | Essais - K Ratuvou Jackson continues the moves down the blind side and his grubber is gathered by Ratuvou. He feeds Powell who looks as if he'll score but as Howlett hauls him down, Ratuvou is on hand to pick up and score. |

| 7 | Munster | Munster respond well and after reclaiming the restart are soon hammering at the Sarries line. The ball goes left and Dowling is put over in the corner only to be called back for a forward pass. |
| 8 | Munster | Penalty kick - R O'Gara Munster have the consolation of a penalty in midfield for Hugh Vyvyan coming off his feet and O'Gara narrow the gap to three. |
| 9 | Munster | Another messy restart, and Munster win the penalty for the jumper being taken out in the air. O'Gara punts up the line for territory. |
| 11 | Munster | Munster secure their ball and go through multiple phases with no reward and are eventually penalised at the ruck for holding on. Good early signs for the Saracens defensive line. |
| 13 | Saracens | Sarries endure a similar fate with their ball as they attack fruitlessly and are eventually turned over and O'Gara hoofs down field. Some kicking tennis ensues and Haughton marks and clears. |
| 15 | Saracens | Ratuvou the Fijian is flying again. After receiving the ball on the left he leaves tow defenders standing and chips past the third. Only the scrambling defence of Howlett denies the winger his second score. |
| 16 | Saracens | From the lineout Sorrell comes back on a short ball but loses the ball. At the scrum though, Visagie destroys Horan to win the put in and Sarries again go wide from first phase. |
| 17 | Saracens | Ratuvou again runs hard and when De Kock spills the ball and Mr Owens brings play back for a Munster scrum . De Kock needs treatment after the huge hit from Howlett. |
| 20 | Munster | Munster win a penalty at the scrum and the front five are delighted after crumpling only minutes earlier. O'Gara gives the Irishmen good field position. |
| 21 | Munster | Munster attack and Horan drives powerfully in midfield. The quick ball is spread left and first Mafi, then Dowling surge for the line. The chance goes begging though as the ball is knocked on only metres short. |
| 23 | Munster | The Munster were obviously hurt by the poor scrimmage earlier and the men in red walk right over the Sarries eight to rapturous applause from their army of fans. They now have the put in. |
| 24 | Saracens | Unbelievably, Sarries take it against the head in this topsy turvy set piece battle and Jackson clears well. |
| 25 | Munster | Essais - R O'Gara Try time. O'Connell wins the lineout and O'Gara takes a flat ball at pace to ghost past Nick Lloyd and slide in to the right of the posts. |
| 26 | Munster | Nigel Owens is ready to overrule his touch judges who say that the conversion was missed, but TMO Derek Bevan confirms that O'Gara's effort was wide. |

| 28 | Saracens | Munster take the ball up to halfway from the restart and O'Leary kicks to the corner. Some back and forth kicking follows, before Jackson eventually puts the ball out of play back on halfway. |

| 35 | Saracens | Jackson drills a pin point kick into the corner. The ball comes off the top and Leonelli and Vyvyan carry well up the middle. The ball is worked left and Sarries are awarded a scrum. |

| 38 | Saracens | Sarries retain the ball, but Sorrell is pinged by Owens for holding on after a powerful surge. |
| 40 | Munster | Essais - A Quinlan Tipoki makes a break on halfway and offloads to Howlett. He is well caught by Leonelli and from the ruck, Quinlan picks up and goes straight through the middle and streaks over unopposed to score. |
| 40 | Munster | Conversion - R O'Gara O'Gara adds the extras and what a time to put seven points on the board. Huge psychological blow on the stroke of half time. |

| 41 | Munster | The rain has arrived in Coventry and that could play into the hands of the wily Munstermen who are masters at the art of wet weather tussles. |
| 41 | Saracens | Sarries face an uphill struggle if they are to take this one, but with the rewards at stake they certainly won't be giving up the ghost. First second half score will be vital. |

| 44 | Munster | Munster look to strike back immediately after regaining the restart, but the conditions begin to take their toll as the ball slips from O'Leary's grasp at the base. |
| 46 | Munster | More hands in the ruck from Munster allow Jackson to kick up the line to safety. Gustard carries from the ensuing play and once again the slippery ball is spilled. |

| 50 | Saracens | Both sides enjoy periods of possession and predictably the game is tightening up as play becomes dominated by pick and gos. This is turning into a war of attrition. |
| 52 | Munster | O'Gara slides a low skiddy kick into the corner to give Munster good territory. Sarries win a penalty from the lineout though as Leamy is caught offiside. Jackson returns play to the Munster half. |
| 54 | Saracens | Cairns throw is not straight as more and more errors creep into the match and in that vein, O'Leary kicks the ball straight out on the full to give Cairns a second bite at the cherry. |
| 55 | Saracens | He gets it right and Sarries continue to keep it tight and take the pace right out of the tie. They do eventually go wide though and Ratuvou breaks the line |

| 67 | Munster | After a period of loose kicking, O'Leary slips a flat pass to Howlett inside his 22. Howlett races away but when he hits contact the wet ball slips from his hands in Sarries get some respite. |

| 71 | Saracens | Penalty kick - G Jackson An indiscretion at an ensuing breakdown gives Jackson a kickable penalty and the reliable Kiwi strikes it cleanly. This game is going to the wire. |
