With the build-up to the Dublin 2013 European club rugby finals intensifying by the day, the four elite clubs of ASM Clermont Auvergne, Toulon, Leinster Rugby and Stade Francais Paris, who are focused on their quest for Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup silverware respectively, won't be the only clubs with Europe on their mind over the weekend of 17 and 18 May.

An independent Disciplinary Committee will be convened in Dublin on Thursday, 11 December, 2008 to consider if any further action is required following the sending-off of Nicola Cattina, the Rugby Calvisano replacement wing forward (No 19)...
... in the Heineken Cup Round 3 Pool 6 match against Gloucester Rugby at Centro Sportivo San Michele on Saturday, 6 December, 2008.
The player was sent off by Welsh referee James Jones in the 55th minute for punching Gloucester flanker Alasdair Strokosch (No 7).
The independent Disciplinary Committee will be chaired by Roger Morris (Wales) and will also comprise Dr Barry O'Driscoll (Ireland) and Robert Williams (Wales).
Notes
(i) Red Cards
a) The case of any player sent off in the Heineken Cup or European Challenge Cup game shall be adjudicated by an independent Disciplinary Committee as soon as is practicable.
b) Until the hearing the player is ineligible to play in any tournament.
(ii) Independent Disciplinary Committee
a) The independent Disciplinary Committee is chosen by the Chairman of the independent Disciplinary Panel, Professor Lorne Crerar.
b) Both parties to the hearing (ERC and the player) have the right to appeal decisions of the independent Disciplinary Committee. Appeals must be lodged within 72 hours of receiving the full written decision from the Chairman of the independent Disciplinary Committee
c) The full written decision of the independent Disciplinary Committee will be available on www.ercrugby.com/discipline when the disciplinary process is complete
