Johann Muller is on course to make a return to Twickenham Stadium for Ulster Rugby's Heineken Cup quarter-final clash with Saracens on Saturday, 6 April after recovering from injury.
Head coach Mark Anscombe may be missing Irish stars Tommy Bowe and Stephen Ferris, but the Kiwi will be delighted to have Muller, No 8 Nick Williams and full back Jared Payne back in his squad for this weekend's PRO12 clash with Edinburgh.
Springbok second row Muller missed eight weeks of the season after fracturing his arm in the Heineken Cup Pool win at Northampton Saints in December and was sidelined again after the league win over Zebre last month.
Both Williams and Payne were injured in the victory over Glasgow Warriors that clinched a Heineken Cup quarter-final slot in January. Williams suffered medial ligament damage to his knee and Payne was struggling with a groin strain.
All three will be needed at their best against the current English Premiership leaders when Ulster return to the scene of their Heineken Cup Final defeat by Leinster last May.
Irish international half-backs Paddy Jackson and Paul Marshall are both in the squad for the weekend at Murrayfield, but Anscombe still has inj concerns over test centre Luke Marshall (concussion) and back row man Iain Henderson (foot).
