Heineken Cup quarter-finalists Toulon have given backs coach Pierre Mignoni a two year extension on his contract at the club.
Club president Mourad Boudjellal was delighted to offer his former player another two seasons at the club - one season plus one more as an option - and did so at a time Toulon are hot on the scent of a possible league and cup double.
Last season's Amlin Challenge Cup runners-up are currently leading the Top 14 by two points from fellow Heineken Cup quarter-finalists, ASM Clermont Auvergne, who they meet on 14 April, and earned a home draw in the European quarter-finals for the first time in their history.
Mignoni hung up his boots at Toulon at the end of the 2010/11 season and took up the coaching reins at the start of the following season.
One of Mignoni's biggest challenges in the run-in to the end of the season will be to find a replacement for Frederic Michalak at half-back following his dislocated shoulder in last weekend's French victory over Scotland in Paris. He is expected to be out for between 6-8 weeks.
He has Sebastien Tillous-Borde fit again to face Tiger's England scrum half Ben Youngs, but will miss Michalak's experience, versatility and flair.
