Former Heineken Cup winner, Rocky Elsom, has signed for Toulon who are through to the quarter-finals of this season's tournament.
The former Australia captain who was Man of the Match in Leinster Rugby's 2009 Heineken Cup final victory over Leicester Tigers at Murrayfield has joined the French club as a 'medical joker'.
Elsom, a veteran of 75 internationals between 2005 and 2011, has suffered a series of groin injuries and also undergone shoulder surgery. His last club action came with New South Wales Waratahs in Super Rugby and in Japan with Kobelco Steelers.
The 30-year-old will replace Stephane Munoz who has been out of action with a fractured orbital lobe since January. Toulon play their Heineken Cup quarter-final against Leicester Tigers at Stade Mayol on Sunday, 7 April.
