Reigning Heineken Cup champions Leinster look ready to chase the 10 points they need over the final two rounds of Pool action to keep alive their hopes of making it three titles in a row.
Successive defeats to Pool leaders ASM Clermont Auvergne before Christmas left Joe Schmidt's men eight points behind their French rivals with two games left to play. But the timely return of British & Irish Lions trio Brian O'Driscoll, Rob Kearney and Luke
Fitzgerald in the bonus point win in Edinburgh at the weekend has given the champions a timely boost.
Leinster host the Scarlets at the RDS on Saturday and then end their Pool campaign at Sandy Lane against an Exeter Chiefs side they struggled to beat 9-6 in the opening round.
O'Driscoll played in that game, and the second round victory over the Scarlets, but neither Kearney nor Fitzgerald have tasted Heineken Cup action this season. They both played for just over the hour in the 31-16 triumph in the Scottish capital, while O'Driscoll went the full eighty minutes.
The European champions are also set to have Isa Nacewa and Richardt Strauss back in the selection mix this week after overcoming injuries suffered against Clermont three weeks ago, while Dave Kearney and Eoin O'Malley are also fit again.
