And Owen Farrell is poised to play the key role in directing operations from No 10 with the club deciding to give the youngster an extended run at outside half.
Charlie Hodgson has also played a leading role this season for the Premiership club by alternating with Farrell under their established rotation policy.
However, Director of Rugby Mark McCall is happy to showcase the 21-year-old in the build-up to the RBS 6 Nations, with Hodgson having retired from Test rugby.
"Owen will play some rugby at 10 over the next two or three weeks," said McCall. "He'll get plenty of rugby there to make sure he's in good form for England when the Six Nations begins.
"Owen is very aware of the plan we have over the next three weeks - and has been since he came back from England's autumn internationals - about when he will play 10 and when he won't. He is very happy with that plan."
