Saracens have their sights firmly set on proving they are one of the big players on the European stage - and the momentum is with them as they top the hugely challenging Pool 1 ahead of leading teams from France and Ireland.
Just three points separate Saracens, Racing Metro 92 and Munster with the Premiership club facing a huge hurdle when they go to Paris to take on the French capital club in Round 5 on Saturday, 12 January, before clashing with Edinburgh Rugby at Vicarage Road eight days later.
The Round 4 home 19-13 victory over former double champions Munster propelled them to top spot and their quarter-final qualification destiny is in their own hands.
"Every competition is big," said England wing David Strettle, who scored his side's only try in the tight and tense contest.
"But being a big team in England you want to be a big team in Europe as well.
"We have got to keep the momentum going. We have got some good momentum now and we can hopefully take that on.
"Against Munster it was a case of putting the game plan on the pitch - and we did that. We just weren't there in the match at Thomond Park and we thought we would bring the intensity in the return and earn their respect.
"Munster have got one of the best defensive kicking games. We knew it was going to be tough because when we wanted to play our game it was against another team who can also do their own thing very well."
