Stade Francais Paris are just a win away from qualifying for a quarter-final place with a match to spare after they completed the double over Italian part-timers I Cavalieri Prato in Le Mans.
Lock Juan Cruz Guillemain crossed for the first of Stade's four tries to secure a 29-6 bonus point victory over the Italian championship outfit to put the Paris-based side eight points ahead of the Pool.
Sergio Parisse's side have won all four of their opening Pool games and will be looking to target a vital home quarter-final place when they face Grenoble and London Welsh in their final two games.
The Parisians, who lost the Amlin Challenge Cup final to Harlequins in 2011, will have one eye on their fellow French outfit Grenoble and know a victory will guarantee a place in the knockout stages.
Grenoble host Stade Francais in a classic all-French affair in Round 5 of this Pool and need a win to keep their own hopes of qualifying for the last eight of this tournament alive.
But Premiership new boys London Welsh, who have won two games and are only a point behind Grenoble, could yet decide the outcome of this Pool when they face Stade in the final game.
London Welsh suffered a 27-13 defeat at home in Oxford but have clearly enjoyed their first campaign of European rugby.
