Newport Gwent Dragons believe the back-to-back victories over Rugby Mogliano can kick-start their faltering season as they look forward to their final Pool 3 games in the New Year at Bayonne and home to leaders London Wasps.
The Dragons ran in eight tries in their 53-3 win at a soggy Rodney Parade to go with the 33-0 victory they notched up on the road in Italy.
"It has been a tough season so far for us but these back-to-back games against Mogliano have been real positives for us," said captain Lewis Evans.
"The matches have given the opportunity for players to get much needed game time and hopefully they can kick start our season."
The return to club duty of Wales No 8 Toby Faletau is another plus for the club with coach Darren Edwards adding: "It was a good result but we know we have to be far more clinical in the games coming up.
"We let ourselves down in the second half by not getting some of the basics right which you cannot afford to do in conditions like that."
The bonus point win took the Dragons up to second spot and they certainly can still have a major influence on the final placings and quarter-final qualification.
