Exeter Chiefs have broken their Heineken Cup duck and although defending champions Leinster and ASM Clermont Auvergne might be dominating Pool 5 the Devon club are thriving on their place under the spotlight.
The 22-16 win over the Scarlets in West Wales was the Chiefs' historic first tournament win and they are hungry for more of the same and a debut Heineken Cup double when the clubs meet at Sandy Park in Round 4.
"Saturday's win at the Scarlets was huge for the club - to get our first victory in the competition and to be part of that is special," said Tom Johnson, the Chiefs' 30-year-old five-times capped England back row forward.
"But the Scarlets are a force to be reckoned with and they will want to right some wrongs.
"We will have to stand up and try and maintain the record we have built up at home this season.
"But we are over the moon with the win. Scarlets is a tough place to go. They are a very good team and we were very happy with our performance.
"We got a lot of things right, and we really had to stick in there towards the end. The last part of the game was pretty forward-orientated, and there were some tough scrums, but we dug in there."
The Scarlets are still searching for their first tournament win of the campaign and have lost Wales outside half Rhys Priestland for the next six months with an Achilles injury suffered in last weekend's defeat.
