Dan Parks is two points short of reaching the half-century mark in the Heineken Cup for the fifth time in eight season after his 17 point haul in Connacht Rugby's first win over French opposition in the competition last weekend.
The former Glasgow Warriors, Cardiff Blues and Scotland outside half is the Heineken Cup's leading scorer after three rounds with 48 points - two short of Worcester Warriors outside half Joe Carlisle in the Amlin Challenge Cup.
Five players are currently tied for top place with three tries in the race to find the Heneken Cup's best try scorer - George Pisi (Northampton Saints), Manu Tuilagi (Leicester Tigers), Danny Care (Harlequins), Alex Cuthbert (Cardiff Blues) and
Napolioni Nalaga (ASM Clermont Auvergne).
But the leading try scorer in Europe to date this season is Perpignan's Adrien Plante, who has notched six tries already after only three rounds.
