It is a vibrant Aviva Stadium and Part 2 of a compelling contest on Saturday - and Leo Cullen's defending champions Leinster have it all to do.
ASM Clermont Auvergne ground out a crucial 15-12 victory over the three-times champions to earn themselves the favourites tag for automatic qualification for the quarter-finals as Pool 5 winners.
The French Top 14 side were two points ahead at the top of the table before this clash and they stretched their lead to five points as Pool leaders against a Leinster side which surrendered their 17-match unbeaten run in Europe and had to be content with a losing bonus point.
However with home advantage and a bumper Dublin crowd roaring them on Leinster will fancy their chances against a Clermont side who have reached the knock-out stages twice in the last three seasons.
The Dubliners, who beat Clermont in last season's Heineken Cup semi-final in Bordeaux, will not only want to make the most of that home advantage but also possibly welcome back some key players from their lengthy injury list.
Meanwhile Exeter Chiefs celebrated their first tournament victory when they came away worthy 22-16 winners over the Scarlets at Parc Y Scarlets. The English side will be looking to grind out another win on their home patch.
The Scarlets' miserable campaign, which started with them having genuine hopes of being in the quarter-finals mix, has gone from bad to worse with Wales fly-half Rhys Priestland now sidelined with an achilles injury.
The Welsh side, who last reached the Heineken Cup quarter-finals back in 2007, have really struggled since their demolition by Clermont and are still looking for their first win in the Pool.
