Bayonne will keep a close eye on London Wasps wing Christian Wade when the clubs clash in a potential "winner-takes-all" Pool 3 showdown at Adams Park on Thursday night.
The 13-13 draw Wasps snatched at Stade Jean Dauger was largely due to what Director of Rugby Dai Young called "a bit of a wonder finish from Christian for his try and that got us right back in the game."
Wasps go into the quick-fire return on 12 points, one ahead of Bayonne, with only the group winner qualifying for the quarter-finals.
"I've said to the players that it's halfway now between us two and we need to finish it on Thursday with a win at home," added Young.
"There is a lot we could be satisfied with but we've got to control the ball and control the field and be more accurate with our possession when we play at home.
"We spent a lot of time defending in our 22 and our defence was outstanding at times and we thoroughly deserved a draw. Right at the end we could have come away with a win but it wasn't to be.
"We made some silly mistakes in the first half which gave them good field position. We went in still quite confident at halftime even though they scored a try just before the break.
"We felt if we restricted them in how we were defending we could control the game and we did that in the second half."
