London Welsh will be gunning for their second victory of their debut European season when they travel to France to play Grenoble at Stade Lesdiguieres in the first of their Pool 5 back-to-back contests.
Lyn Jones' team had a torrid introduction to life at the top when they were beaten 68-19 in their home match against Stade Francais Paris before getting off the mark with a 32-31 win at I Cavalieri Prato.
And the goal kicking form of former Scotland outside half Gordon Ross - who contributed 11 points to that win in Italy - could be key to their hopes against a club riding high in sixth place in the Top 14.
"I know what my role is in the team and I've got to try and do it to the best of my ability," said Ross, who has amassed 274 points in European matches for Edinburgh, Leeds, Castres Olympique, Saracens and now London Welsh.
"The goal kicking was good against London Irish but that was about the only positive in a pretty scrappy performance, both personally and from the team.
"It's going ok but we need to try and find a Plan B with our rugby and shift teams around and get our back three into the game, who are very dangerous runners when they get the opportunity. We've got to try and get the ball to these guys in space a bit more often."
"We know we're not going to win games by 20-30 points like Harlequins or Leicester, we've got to dog it out every week and scrap for every point, never mind a victory.
"We wanted to improve in certain areas of the game. We did in one or two but we lost our shape a little bit and couldn't build too much momentum going forward.
"We'll play better this season and lose games."
