Francois Louw has been cleared to captain Bath Rugby in their back-to-back Amlin Challenge Cup matches against Cammi Rugby Calvisano.
Bath have a four-point lead over Agen in the race to top Pool 4 and advance to the knock-out stages in April as they bid to add a third European title to the Heineken Cup crown they won in 1998 and the Amlin Challenge Cup title they lifted in 2008.
Louw appeared before an RFU disciplinary hearing after receiving a red card for punching or striking an opponent in the 12-17 Premiership loss to Leicester Tigers last Saturday.
However, the citing was dismissed in its entirety leaving Louw free to play in the ties at The Recreation Ground on Saturday and the return fixture in Italy seven days later.
But while the availability of the influential Springboks flanker is the good news the bad news is that team-mates hooker Lee Mears and threequarter Matt Banahan will miss both Italian jobs.
Banahan has been banned for three weeks for a dangerous tackle while Mears was cited for punching or striking an opponent and banned for two weeks, both offences occurring in the same match at Welford Road..
