Euan Murray - an Amlin Challenge Cup winner with Northampton Saints in 2009 - is poised to resume his European adventures with Worcester Warriors.
The 32-year-old Scotland international prop has joined the Sixways club after building up 35 European appearances with Glasgow, Saints and Newcastle Falcons.
The Warriors and Perpignan are level pegging on 10 points apiece in Pool 2 and clash in key group matches in Rounds 3 and 4 with the Sixways Stadium showdown on Thursday, 6 December, the opening contest.
The Premiership club stunned Saracens last weekend and Warriors head coach Richard Hill hinted that newcomer Murray will shortly come into the frame and provide valuable front row competition.
"Euan Murray will come into the 23 this weekend and probably be on the bench because I will look to start with John Andress," said Hill.
"John has obviously risen to the challenge of Euan arriving because he had one of the best games of his Warriors career last Friday against Saracens so it's only right he starts.
"Euan has just arrived and he's trying learn everyone's name let alone the calls so there's a huge amount of information he's got to learn this week.
"It is probably a little bit too soon to put him in but I am sure we'll see him on the field at some point."
