Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal has been chasing Bryan Habana for a number of years - and his bid to add the Springboks' wing legend to his Cote d'Azur squad may be a giant step closer.
For the past eight years the biggest names in world rugby have been on Toulon's "hit-list" and Boudjellal has been hugely successful in attracting genuine world stars to Stade Felix Mayol.
Try the likes of Jonny Wilkinson, Carl Hayman, Matt Giteau, Bakkies Botha and Gethin Jenkins just for starters.
Habana, whose possible arrival in Toulon has already twice done the rounds in the past, is once again reportedly in close contact with the French giant.
According to reports in France the player and Toulon manager Bernard Laporte met in London last weekend when injury ruled Habana out of South Africa's 16-15 Test victory over England at Twickenham.
So it now looks as if Boudjellal is yet again hot after the 29-year-old's signature - whose career is far from fading.
Habana has been named as South Africa's player of the year for the third time after scooping the honour in 2005 and 2007 and clearly still has an enormous amount of talent and energy.
The French reports suggest a firm offer has been put in front of Habana and that he will give Toulon his answer in two weeks time.
It would represent a massive coup for Toulon if they could clinch the signature of the Stormers star and for him to link up with fellow Springboks Joe van Niekerk and Botha in Toulon.
