Ryan Caldwell is back in action and set to play a key role in Bath Rugby's challenge for Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final qualification.
Bath - one of just three clubs to have lifted both the Heineken Cup and the Amlin Challenge Cup - have a four-point advantage over Agen in Pool 4 after taking maximum points from away ties at Bucharest Wolves and Agen.
They face Cammi Rugby Calvisano in back-to-back matches in Rounds 3 and 4 when they will be looking to take more giant strides towards group honours with Irish international lock Caldwell well and truly back in the mix.
The former Ulster Rugby star, who played in all six of Bath's Heineken Cup matches last season, resumed match action last weekend after a double injury blow and declared: "It was about time I was back playing.
"It felt really good getting my first run out of the season and to do it in front of the Rec crowd was pretty awesome. I enjoyed it and hopefully there is plenty more to come."
Caldwell was virtually an ever present last season and his return will be a major boost for the 2008 tournament champions.
"I went down with the medial ligament damage and then when I was coming back from that I tore my hamstring so that was really bad luck," said Caldwell, who made 22 Heineken Cup appearances for Ulster.
"But that is rugby and I am just glad to be back out there."
