Former Heineken Cup and Amlin Challelnge Cup winner Tom Voyce could be on his way back into European rugby after signing-up for new boys London Welsh.
The 31-year-old former England wing has a huge European pedigree having won the Amlin Challenge Cup with London Wasps in 2003/04 and then helped the same club win the Heineken Cup at Twickenham Stadium in 2006/07.
With 23 tries in 54 Heineken Cup ties, and 26 in 64 in all European matches, he is one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the tournament, lying in joint eighth place overall.
Voyce left Gloucester last season and has recently been turning out for the Exiles in the Aviva Premiership A League. Lyn Jones has liked what he's seen and Voyce will start at full back against former club London Wasps this weekend.
"I'm delighted to be joining London Welsh and excited to be able to contribute to what has been a good start to their season. Lyn and the players have been great in welcoming me into their culture," said the nine-times capped Voyce.
"For me it's a case of getting my head down and proving a few points. There are some great challenges ahead for us as a team and that is what rugby is all about."
London Welsh are in their debut season in the Amlin Challenge Cup and notched their first win in Europe in Round 2 when they pipped I Cavaliero Prato 32-31 in Italy last weekend. Voyce isn't registered for Europe as yet, but could be drafted in for later rounds.
