Worcester Warriors made a five-point winning start against Amlin Challenge Cup newcomers Bizkaia Gernika to launch their Pool 2 challenge in style and now the focus is on the home contest with Femi-CZ VEA Rovigo at Sixways on Saturday.
And while head coach Richard Hill was looking no further than the Italian contest he believes the double header with Perpignan could be pivotal to the knock-out stages qualification as group winner.
"There are some much tougher groups in the Amlin Challenge Cup this season," said Hill, "but it looks like it is heading towards that double header with Perpignan before Christmas.
"But we go again this weekend against Rovigo and we will give them plenty of respect and start again.
"Gernika kept coming at us and I was pleased for them that they got a try while Max Stelling scored three tries for us and I was delighted by that young man."
