Despite suffering a groin injury which will keep him out of the game for three to four weeks, Perpignan captain Nicolas Mas looks set to be available for the start of the Amlin Challenge Cup.
This is a positive development for Perpignan as it had been expected that the vastly experienced 32-year-old France international would be out of action for up to eight weeks.
Perpignan are in Pool 2 of the Amlin Challenge Cup along with Rovigo, Worcester Warriors and the Basque club, Bizkaia Gernika. They open their campaign with an away game against Rovigo on Saturday, 13 October.
