It's down to the wire now for the five contenders who have been shortlisted for the ultimate individual accolade in northern hemisphere rugby, ERC European Player of the Year 2013.
"This year's about trying to get into the Heineken Cup - everybody's doubling their effort, putting in more hours," he told the BBC. "When I signed for the club that was the (chairman's) vision. That has not changed."
He added: "Obviously it has taken a year longer than we hoped to get close to that aspiration as we were relegated to the Championship. But to be part of the first team that brings Heineken Cup rugby here to Sixways would be fantastic."
Goode believes that the club are not far away from achieving this goal, despite their lowly position in the Premiership league table last season. "There were a lot of games last year which slipped away from us in the last five minutes and if you have been around the game for as long as I have you can see the big differences in the league table," he said. "If we can start turning those around we'll be pushing for the top six which is our target."
The Warriors open their Amlin Challenge Cup campaign with a trip to European club rugby newcomers, Bizkaia Gernika RT of Spain on Saturday, 13 October.
