The bitter disappointment of losing to Cardiff Blues in the 2010 Amlin Challenge Cup Final is going to force Joe van Niekerk's Toulon side to be "more precise" when they face Biarritz Olympique at the Twickenham Stoop on Friday night (kick-off 8.00pm)
At stake for Toulon is a first major trophy since 1992, while for Imanol Harinordoquy's Biarritz side there is the last chance to earn a place in next season's Heineken cup.
Nothing but a win will be good enough to do that, while Van Niekerk's men still have the French Championship title to aim for having qualified for the Play-Offs and guaranteed a return to the Heineken Cup
"We had a really good tournament in 2010 in our first time in an ERC competition, but we were really disappointed to lose the final to Cardiff Blues," said van Niekerk.
"There are new players and cultures that have arrived at the club since then and we have a lot more experience than we had the first time. We are going to be a lot more precise on Friday night.
"Our goal is simple - to go out there and win the final. We will put everything on the line. Biarritz have everything to play for - if they win they are in the Heineken Cup next year, so it up to us to take that away from them."
