Bastareaud missed the thrilling semi-final win over his old club Stade Francais and was touch and go to be available for the tournament showpiece at the Twickenham Stoop.
An x-ray has since shown that the damage has healed as hoped and the 23-year-old is expected to be named in the Toulon matchday 23 later on today (Thursday) having been included in a travelling party of 25.
Toulon head to London on the back of a 29-5 win at Lyon last weekend having beaten four-times Heineken Cup kings Toulouse 25-22 seven days earlier.
Forwards coach Olivier Azam believes the away win over the Top 14's bottom team was the perfect preparation for the Amlin Challenge Cup Final, especially as Toulon's setpiece showed it can live up to the stiff test expected from a strong Biarritz pack tomorrow night.
"We produced a very complete performance and came away with victory at the end," said Azam.
"We were good defensively in the first half when we played with the wind against us…and we were satisfied with how our scrum and lineout went. We worked a lot on that in the build up and we saw the benefit of that work.
"We've played against Lyon five times this season (twice in the Top 14, twice in the Amlin Challenge Cup and once in a pre-season friendly) and we've improved every time.
"We came up with a professional performance and it was good preparation for the final."
