Amlin Challenge Cup finalists RC Toulon are chasing a domestic and European double having secured a play-off spot in the Top 14 with an impressive win over Toulouse on Saturday.
At the other end of the table fellow European finalists Biarriitz Olympique did just enough on Friday evening away to Montpellier to guarantee survival in the Top 14 taking a crucial losing bonus point in the 21-16 defeat. The Basques will now shift focus to their clash with Toulon at the Twickenham Stoop on Friday, 18 May as their chance to finally lift a European trophy and their only route into next season's Heineken Cup as Amlin Challenge Cup winners.
Back in the Stade Felix Mayol, the scene of last weekend's Amlin Challenge Cup semi-final win over Stade Francais,, Toulon's narrow 25-22 victory over an out-of form Toulouse earns them a place in the play-offs and potentially a home semi-final. Toulon three tries come from Steffon Armitage, Eifion Lewis-Roberts and Alexis Palisson while last weekend's hero Jonny Wilkinson scored two penalties and two conversions.
