Michael Cheika's men face a busy end to the campaign but star prop David Attoub believes there is enough quality and depth in the squad to succeed on both fronts.
"I don't think we will suffer from being in both the Top 14 and the Amlin Challenge Cup: there are enough quality players to be competitive in both competitions," said Attoub.
"We know that qualification for the Heineken Cup could come down to the game against Racing Metro in the Stade de France on May 5 but the game in Toulon in the Amlin Challenge Cup is also a huge challenge.
"We will play both games at 100 per cent as we want to be in the first six teams in the Top 14 and win the Amlin Cup."
Attoub broke his hand in the win over Agen on March 24 and hasn't played since but the 30-year-old is in line for a comeback in Saturday's clash with Perpignan at the Stade Charlety.
And while tomorrow marks a key moment in Attoub's own year as he looks to press his claims ahead of next Friday's trip to Toulon, it could also be a huge turning point in Stade's season.
Finish tomorrow's game with a bonus-point win and Stade could move to within a single point of sixth-placed Castres and fifth-placed Racing. Those two teams travel to Toulon and Biarritz Olympique respectively this weekend and a brace of home wins would really give Stade's top-six chances a boost.
Lose to Perpignan, though, and Stade's season would be on the brink of collapse. In addition to being far from ideal preparation for the mouthwatering Amlin Challenge Cup tie at Toulon, Stade's hopes of making the Top 14 play-offs would be severely dented as their final two league games are away from home at Racing and then Biarritz.
Attoub knows just how important this particular fixture is to Stade's season and, while he is keen to play down his own return to action, he admits a win of any sorts is absolutely vital.
"I stopped training for three weeks but I stayed close to the squad throughout my time out injured so I only see this as a come back to competition," added Attoub.
"The players were very disappointed with the defeat to Clermont last week because our goal was to get a result there. We now have to do better this weekend to keep our destiny in our hands.
"We are determined not to depend on other teams doing us a favour. There are at least four games left in both competitions and we know can get four wins.
"We know how good Perpignan can be. They are full of confidence after their two victories against Bordeaux-Bègles and Toulouse. They are still struggling to stay in Top 14 but they are better than that and we are expecting a tough game on Saturday.
"We need to produce a big performance, focus on our rugby and be clinical. If we can do that we will be able get the victory but the bonus point isn't our goal - victory must come first."
