Ulster head coach Brian McLaughlin has described his side's Heineken Cup quarter-final victory over Munster as probably the biggest day in his rugby career.
McLaughlin's side raced into a 19-point lead at Thomond Park as they dominated the opening exchanges. Munster fought back but were held back by a determined Ulster defensive effort as the visitors recorded a famous victory.
The win takes Ulster into the last four of Europe's premier competition for the first time since winning the title back in 1999 and McLaughlin was full of praise after the final whistle.
"It was unbelievable. It was a big highlight in my career, probably the biggest day in my life in rugby terms," he told the Belfast Telegraph.
"It is also important to mention the impact and energy we gleaned from our fans in the stadium. The support was outstanding."
"We knew Munster were going to come at us and they certainly did. To be 19-10 at half-time, (our captain) Johann Muller said if we were given that beforehand, we would have taken it.
"We knew after half-time it was going to be another battle. We talked about that all week as well. All credit to the guys on the pitch, they were magnificent today."
Ulster now host Edinburgh Rugby at the Aviva Stadium in the semi-finals on Saturday April 28 - KO 17.45.
