Grand Slam winning centre Jamie Roberts will see a specialist on Monday about the knee injury he picked up in Cardiff Blues 31-3 defeat at Glasgow Warriors on Friday night.
The Wales and British & Irish Lions centre limped out of the game after 52 minutes and is now a major worry for Easter Saturday's Heineken Cup quarter-final clash with reigning champions Leinster Rugby at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.
The 25-year-old was making only his fifth appearance of the season for the Blues, and only his second in the RaboDirect PRO12, and his knee injury could stop him from meeting up with his 2009 Lions Test partner Brian O'Driscoll in Dublin.
"Gutted with our performance last night - not good enough - but congratulations to Glasgow. Seeing the consultant on Monday about my knee - fingers crossed. It's not too good," Roberts tweeted after the Glasgow game.
Leinster are unbeaten in their four previous European games at the Aviva Stadium and have already beaten the Blues twice in domestic league matches this season - 52-9 in Dublin and 23-19 in Cardiff.
Blues coaches Justin Burnell and Gareth Baber have already lost Wales' Grand Slam skipper Sam Warburton for Saturday's game because of a shoulder injury and are worried over the fitness of skipper Paul Tito, who is still suffering from headaches after receiving a kick on the head in their win over Benetton Treviso on 3 March.
No 8 Xavier Rush was a late withdrawal from the game in Glasgow after his partner gave birth to his first son, but he will be able to travel to Dublin for the Heineken Cup quarter-final. So, too, might 99-times capped Martyn Williams, who suffered a rib cartilage injury two weeks ago.
