Northampton Saints back row man Calum Clark has been suspended for 32 weeks by an RFU disciplinary committee after pleading guilty to injuring Leicester Tigers hooker Rob Hawkins in the LV= Cup final at Worcester on 18 March.
Clark admitted hyperextending the right arm of Hawkins, who suffered a broken elbow, and was suspended for 32 weeks for an act contrary to good sportsmanship - Law 10(4) (M). The suspension will run from March 22 to the November 1. He is free to play again on 2 November, 2012.
Clark was ordered to pay hearing costs of £500 and has the right to appeal against the decision.
