Clermont Head Coach, Vern Cotter, has set a double target of winning both the Heineken Cup and Top 14 this season.
"We set ourselves the very difficult double target of wining the Top 14 and the Heineken Cup this season to mark the 100th anniversary of the club. This group of players has a lot of desire to win something after tasting success in the Top 14 final in 2010," said New Zealander Cotter who takes his side to Vicarage Road for a Heineken Cup quarter-final against Saracens on Sunday, 8 April.
"But this is always a difficult time of the year with the international players coming back into their clubs. We suffered a bit after the World Cup and we have learned lessons from that experience.
"We've spoken to every player individually, kept in contact with them during the 6 Nations and given them plenty of videos to watch this week. Each player is different, and we have given three of them the week off to get themselves in peak condition for the Saracens game."
"The Heineken Cup is a knock-out competition from here on in, so the game next month is our first big target. If we can win in Watford, then are dreams are still alive - if not, we will focus fully on the Top 14.
"There is a lot of excitement in the camp about the Heineken Cup quarter-final and the fans have also got into the spirit. We know it is going to be tough going away, but our form on the road has improved this season. We have Perpignan at home this weekend, and then have to travel to Biarritz next week and I'm really looking to use that game as a proper build-up to the Saracens fixture."
