London Wasps will be without their new England hooker Rob Webber for their Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final against Biarritz Olympique on Saturday, 7 April.
The 25-year-old Webber has undergone corrective surgery on a shoulder injury he picked up in England's RBS 6 Nations triumph over France in Paris when he came on as a back row replacement at Stade de France. He won three caps during the championship.
Webber, part of the Wasps side that reached the Amlin quarter-finals last season and the semi-finals in 2010, damaged the rotator cuff in his shoulder. He will miss the rest of the season and is due to join Bath in the summer.
"I'm really disappointed that I won't play for Wasps again and it's a frustrating way to end my playing career with the club. I'll be around the club from now until the end of the season and will do anything I can to help the squad in the final run-in," said Webber.
London Wasps have already beaten Biarritz Olympique's near neighbours, Bayonne, and Bordeaux-Begles in the Pool stages and are hoping to make it a hat-trick of French scalps when they host the Basque club at Adams Park next month.
