Injured during last weekend's Top 14 game against Stade Francais, Jonny Wilkinson is likely to be sidelined for three to four weeks.
The strained right knee ligament he suffered during the first half of Toulon's dramatic 19-19 draw at the Stade de France will not now keep him out of his club's high-profile Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final against Harlequins at Stade Félix Mayol on Friday, 6 April.
Wilkinson was injured following a collision with teammate, Sebastien Tillous-Bordes, and with the place-kicking duties eventually passing to Matt Giteau, the Australian nailed a touchline conversation of Steffon Armitage's try with the last play of the game to earn Toulon a share of the points.
