Two-time Heineken Cup champions Leicester Tigers have confirmed the appointment of Simon Cohen as their new Chief Executive
Cohen, who has been in the role as acting CEO since September, joined the Club in 2005 as Head of Rugby Operations and has now taken on the position in a permanent capacity.
Previously as a sports lawyer and partner at James Chapman & Co in Manchester, Cohen represented the England rugby team, Rugby Players Association and British & Irish Lions players. He also established Rugby Class, a nationwide rugby coaching company, and operated as an agent for a number of England players including Jonny Wilkinson before joining Leicester.
Speaking at the annoucement Cohen said: "Leicester Tigers is a great rugby club with an exceptional record of growth and success over many years.
"The world of sport is constantly changing and to be involved right at the heart of that is one of the great attractions of this environment.
"Leicester Tigers has always been at the forefront of the game and that is where we aim to stay.
"I look forward to operating in my new role at the club and hope we can all work together to drive the future success of the team and the business."
Leicester TIgers who are the only Club to record back to back Heineken Cup titles (2001 & 2002) crashed out of this seasons tournament after defeat by Ulster Rugby and ASM Clermoint Auvergne.
