Cardiff Blues became the sixth club in the history of the Heineken Cup to play 100 tournament games - edging out Ulster Rugby who became number seven after reaching the milestone in Round 6 - when they met London Irish in Round 5 of this season's tournament.
Cardiff played their first match back in November 1995 against Bègles-Bordeaux at Stade André Moga earning a 14-14 draw.
To mark the club's achievement, ERC Chairman, Jean-Pierre Lux, presented a specially commissioned plaque to Cardiff Blues Chairman, Peter Thomas, before the Round 6 match against Racing Métro 92 at Cardiff City Stadium.
Apart from joining Toulouse, Munster Rugby, Leinster Rugby, Leicester Tigers, Scarlets and Ulster Rugby on the centenary list, Cardiff Blues have a Heineken Cup quarter-final to look forward to. Having qualified as one of the best runners-up, the Blues travel to meet reigning champions, Leinster, at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, 7 April next.
