Lee Jones, the 23-year-old Edinburgh Rugby wing, will make his debut for Scotland against England on Saturday along with club colleagues, David Denton and Ross Rennie, who are starting in the 6 Nations for the first time.
In all, the Heineken Cup quarter-finalists have six players in Scotland's starting line-up, with a further three on the bench. Nick De Luca, Allan Jacobsen and captain Ross Ford make up the sestet with Jones, Denton and Rennie, while Geoff Cross, Mike Blair and Greig Laidlaw are among the replacements.
Head Coach, Andy Robinson, said: "I've been pleased with the consistency Lee Jones has shown and he fully deserves to win his first cap. Form has played a part in selection. Edinburgh's qualification for the Heineken Cup quarter-finals and Glasgow's performances in the RaboDirect PRO12 mean that competition for places has intensified, particularly in the back-row."
Edinburgh became the first Scottish club in the history of the Heineken Cup to win a Pool and can now look forward to a clash in the last eight with the might of four-time champions Toulouse. That match is scheduled to take place at Murrayfield on Saturday, 7 April and tickets are on sale at www.edinburghrugby.org
Cardiff Blues, who travel to take on champions Leinster at the Aviva Stadium in their quarter-final, have Dan Parks at out-half, while Sean Lamont represents Scarlets who have an Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final at Brive on Sunday, 8 April next.
