Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter is relishing his side's 'winner-takes-all' clash against Perpignan on Saturday.
The English Premiership side cruised to a 50-10 victory over Italian side I Cavaleri Prato at the weekend setting up a crunch match against Perpignan at Sandy Park this weekend.
Exeter sit one point ahead of Perpignan in Pool 4 of the Amlin Challenge Cup and the victors of Saturday's game will claim a spot in the last eight and Baxter is looking forward to big day in his clubs history.
"I think next Saturday will be pretty special, it will be one of the biggest fixtures we've staged as a club, but how great is to stand here now and say we are battling for a place in the last eight of Europe," said Baxter.
"An Anglo-French clash at our place, I just think it has all the makings of something special, so it will be great to see all our supporters turn out in force for the game."
The victory at Stadio Lungobisenzio at the weekend set-up the victory and Baxter was pleased with his side's outing.
"We knew we had to come here and win, we had to come here and get five points and we had to score as many tries as we could," added Baxter.
"In the end we wrapped all that up pretty well, but at the same time we've picked up a couple of disappointing injuries to both Josh and Jack, which kind of takes the gloss of things a little bit
"Early indications are not great for Josh; it looks like he may have a broken leg. Jack, we hope, is maybe not quite so bad, but we just have to wait for the full outcome on both guys."
"The endeavour of the team was fantastic. Everything went pretty much to script; we controlled long periods of the game and scored some good tries. The disappointment for the boys at half-time was that maybe they hadn't turned more of the possession into points.
"But as a coaching staff we told them we were pretty much on schedule and if they carried on as they were, they would pretty much get the benefits of their efforts later in the game and that's how it proved."
