Munster have revealed that back-row Denis Leamy will be out of action for up to four months due to a hip injury.
Leamy, who has won the Heineken Cup twice, in 2006 and 2008 with the Irish Province will undergo surgery to rectify the niggling hip injury, ruling him out of his side's remaining European Pool games.
"Denis will be out probably for four months. He will have an operation, and is getting it finalised," said Munster head coach Tony McGahan.
The 30-year-old has played in all four of Munster's clashes in the competition this season but will miss the final two games against Castres Olympique and Northampton Saints.
