The Premiership outfit ground out a 14-10 victory at the Sportsground in Galway but will want to record a bonus-point win at home to keep their slim hopes of a quarter-finals place alive.
The west country giants are third in the Pool behind Harlequins with four-times champions, Toulouse, already in pole position to qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament.
Connacht, who are competing in the Heineken Cup for the first time, have endured a baptism of fire and are still looking for their first victory in the Pool and in European rugby's premier tournament.
